Water Bowl (3 sizes available to order)
The above photo are "examples" of what your bowl will look like. It has a base color of white, and the top rim will be of your chosen color family.
Footed Water Bowl:
Size for one dog, 2+ cups
Size for two dogs, 3+ cups
Size for two - three dogs 3.5 + cup
The + sign simply means that your bowl will not hold less than the designated amount. Pottery shriks when it's fired (generally 12-14%) so there will always be variables, depending on the amount of water the intitial clay holds before making. You will never get less than then advertised volume ordered. Better to have a littel more than a little less, in my opinion.
Generally, if you have one dog, either cavalier or cocker (or a similar sized dog), a 2 cup water bowl will be sufficient to last the day.
There are a number of variables that may affect the amount of water a dog drinks, so this is not an absolute but a general guideline for 15-20 lb dogs. If you need more, simply refill during the day. Obvisously more dogs mean more water, so expect to refill your bowls as necessary.
Estimated wait time for this set will be 5 to 6 weeks. Though I would love to get them finished earlier, a series of bowl simply takes close to a month to complete from start to finish. The time involves throwing, trimming, placing feet if offered, drying, first fire, applying glaze, second firing, sanding bottoms and more. It is not a simple process, and "I do my best to do my best", meaning I take enough time to do a good job on each bowl I make.
Pre-order sales are limited to 20 until these are finished and out the door.
