Cat Bowl for wisker sensitive cats
Whisker fatigue is apparently a real thing with cats. Not every cat seems to be bothered by it, but many do. Even if you do not recognize the term, you may have noticed that your cat leaves food that is the bottom of their bowl, waiting for it to be filled to the top before resuming eating. My cat Harvey, will eat from anything, but it is true that he always leaves the food at the bottom. I just didn't even think that there might be a reason for this. Anyway, I went to our local shelter, and they confirmed that this is an issue with a lot of cats. Since they do not spend money on fancy ceramic dishes, they use a variety of bowls, but showed me their favorites, which were very wide and very low.
Since I decided to make some cat bowls for our Studio tour this year, I have crafted some bowls that are truly adorable, but in one way or another serve the purpose of keeping the wickers safe. This one is my absolute favorite, mostly because it is so cute, utilizing several decorative processes. I realize it's expensive, and if people like them, I could make them less decorative, therefore less expensive. If you are a cat lover, and let's face it, most of us are, let me know your thoughts.
